I'm working towards running my first 5K in about 7 weeks and was wondering if I would do the other cardio workouts on the days when I don't run (I'm following Pete's preferred running plan from the book). I know you're suppose to rest in between running days but I would like to lose weight while training for the 5K. Would it be possible to do it that way or would I be risking overtraining and hamper my running progress?

i have been doing the dvd jillian michaels 30 day shred level 1 for the last month..i will start level 2 on friday march 1st.. i really enjoy these dvds and they are challenging..have lost over 9 pounds..
